Batik

Batik is central to my work because it embraces variation rather than repetition. Each piece is created through a manual process, allowing the fabric to absorb colour in its own way and making no two garments identical. The time and care required slow the production and shift focus from volume to intention. The result is not a print, but a record of process and a garment shaped as much by making as by design.
